Hi doctor, my delivery was 14 days ago and I'm breastfeeding now. But within a week after delivery I started getting cracked nipple and swelling. I consulted my gynaec and she suggested me a nipcare ointment. Using that the dryness has reduced but the swelling is severe and it is really painful to feed my baby. I was even asked to take Taximo O 200 for a week but still there was no cure for this. I'm finding really difficulty in feeding my baby. Kindly suggest an opinion.
Also whenever I feed my baby he jus bites really hard and then starts to suck the milk which is very painful. May I know the reason for it? Is it that he is finding difficulty to suck or the position is uncomfortable? Coz as far as I know he is kept in a proper position and I've fed and also I've enough milk so there is no need to suck hard. But I don't know why he is biting hard. Kindly suggest.
