I went for blood test yesterday. I noticed that doctor removed plastic packaging and cap of needle and put it on table. I noticed needle was there on table , not touching any surface but directly exposed to air/room-air. Then he used cotton swab and then took my blood with that needle.
Is there any chance that any airborne viruses or bacteria which are generally presents in air , settle on that needle tip and go in my vein, when needle was inserted in my vein?
